Macha/PAR is searching for an Assistant Director of Audit in the Midwest.

Macha/PAR is looking for an individual who has a keen interest in payments to fill our role of Assistant Director of Audit. The primary responsibility of this position is conducting ACH Audits and Risk Assessments for our members. Additional responsibilities include providing phone and email support to our members with ACH and other payment system questions.

Our ideal candidate has an associate degree or equivalent with minimum 3 years of experience in the financial services industry. This person also must have terrific written and verbal communication skills, ability to multi-task and prioritize, strong attention to detail, reliable and organized. They will demonstrate an ability to deliver excellent results and continuously improve their understanding of evolving payment systems. They should be able to focus on the success of the team over individual success and want to foster positive and productive working relationships with teammates and our members.

Responsibilities for the position

  • Conduct ACH audits and risk assessments for our members both on-site and using remote tools
  • Stay current on rules and regulations relating to the risk and compliance services provided
  • Ability to travel with occasional overnight required.
  • Review pre-audit materials received
  • Perform exit interviews
  • Deliver a professional report within specified requirements
  • Promptly respond to questions or concerns
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes that affect member's operations
  • Represent the association at industry and on-site engagements
  • Serve on industry groups as determined
  • Other duties as assigned


  • Associate Degree or equivalent; or three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Strong decision making and analytical abilities
  • Detail-oriented and good communication/listening skills
  • Well-organized and self-motivated
  • Ability to work with Microsoft applications
  • Thorough understanding of Nacha Operating Rules
